Flexible Astrograph: One Telescope, Six Setups

The Askar V is a modular apochromatic refractor designed for imagers who want maximum versatility without changing telescope. Swap between the V60 (60 mm, 360 mm f/6) and V80 (80 mm, 500 mm f/6.25) objective lenses, then choose the Reducer, Flattener or Extender to cover focal lengths from 270 mm to 600 mm. Perfect for wide-field nebulae, large galaxies and tighter framing of clusters.

Why Choose the Askar V?
-
Six focal length options: 270 / 360 / 384 / 446 / 495 / 600 mm from a single platform.
-
True APO triplet optics: Each objective uses two ED elements for excellent colour correction and tight star profiles.
-
Imaging-ready connections: M54×0.75 and M48×0.75 rear threads (built-in 2″ filter thread) and a standard 55 mm backfocus.
-
Rotator & visual adapters included: New scaled 360° rotator, finder base, 1.25″ & 2″ adapters for easy framing and visual observing.
-
Portable build: Approx. 2.8 kg (V60) and 3.4 kg (V80). Ideal for travel rigs and quick setups.
Quick Configuration Guide
Set the accessory’s scale to match the lens (60 or 80). Maintain 55 mm backfocus from the M48 adapter.

FAQ
Is the Askar V suitable for beginners?
Yes. Start wide at 270–360 mm for forgiving tracking and easy framing, then move up to longer focal lengths as you progress.
Do I need extra spacers with the reducer or flattener?
No special spacers are required beyond achieving the standard 55 mm backfocus from the M48 adapter.
Which cameras can I use?
Most dedicated astronomy cameras and DSLR/mirrorless bodies can connect via M48/M54. Sensor coverage depends on configuration and camera; many users shoot APS-C comfortably.
Can I use it visually?
Yes. 1.25″ and 2″ adapters are included, and the 360° rotator helps with comfortable viewing angles.
