Best decision I've made!

As many others have surely done as well, for ages I couldn't make up my mind between the number of different harmonic drive options to replace my HEQ5 Pro mount (bad back!). After reading numerous reviews for all the potential options, eventually decided the EM31 Pro would be the one for me.

Only received a few days ago, but already evident this is a great bit of 'kit'. Solidly built but compact and light weight, superb engineering all round, quiet as a church mouse, the DEC and RA adjustment system is a dream to use. All these points are exactly as reported in the reviews I saw, and they were absolutely right.

I also got the associated carbon fibre tripod, which is innovative to say the least. Easy and quick to assemble, absolutely rock solid (I was a bit concerned about this, but I shouldn't have worried!), a superb addition and a decision I'm equally pleased with.

Never used OnStep before, but a little bit of research and common sense had me up and running in next to no time. I'm now going through the motion of 'tweaking' things to achieve optimum settings, etc.
