Pegasus Astro FlatMaster 250L Wi-Fi is a slimline, high-output LED flat field panel designed to deliver clean, repeatable flat calibration frames for deep-sky astrophotography and photometric imaging. It provides a uniform illumination source for telescopes up to 250mm (10") aperture and supports precise brightness control via USB and Wi-Fi.
Uniform illumination for accurate flat calibration
Flat frames are essential for correcting vignetting, dust motes, and uneven field illumination caused by the optical system and camera sensor. A dedicated flat field panel ensures consistent, repeatable calibration without reliance on improvised light sources.
The FlatMaster 250L produces an evenly illuminated field across the full usable aperture, making it suitable for both amateur and professional imaging setups.
Dimmable brightness (0–100%)
The FlatMaster 250L offers fully adjustable brightness from 0 to 100%, allowing precise matching of flat exposures to your optical system, camera, and filters. Brightness levels can be stored per filter and recalled instantly through compatible software.
Its high maximum output supports practical flat exposure times even when using narrowband filters — typically 2–3 second flats at f/7 with 3nm filters.
USB and Wi-Fi control
Power and control are provided via a single USB Type-B cable, simplifying cable management. Integrated Wi-Fi enables wireless control from a phone, tablet, or computer without requiring additional hardware.
USB and Wi-Fi can be used independently or simultaneously, offering flexibility for both permanent observatories and portable imaging rigs.
Web-based control dashboard
When connected to the FlatMaster Wi-Fi access point, panel brightness can be controlled using a built-in web interface by entering flatmaster.local into any browser. This operating system–independent dashboard works seamlessly alongside USB control.
Manual operation
A built-in push button allows manual stepping through multiple brightness levels, providing simple local control when software operation is not required.
Software compatibility
The FlatMaster 250L is fully compatible with major astrophotography and automation platforms and supports modern device control standards.
