Falcon Rotator v2 is a large-aperture (M68) camera field rotator with a lightweight, low-profile form factor designed for high-precision astrophotography. Despite the slim body, it supports heavy imaging payloads with excellent mechanical rigidity and repeatable rotation accuracy.

Operation is smooth and highly automated thanks to support for classic ASCOM, native ASCOM Alpaca, INDI, and the Pegasus Unity Platform software. Whether controlling via USB-C, Wi-Fi, or web interface, the Falcon Rotator v2 delivers reliable, precise field orientation for modern imaging workflows.

Key Features
- Large Aperture: M68 opening on both sides
- Slim Backfocus: 15.2 mm optical thickness
- High Load Capacity: Supports imaging trains up to 6 kg (13 lbs)
- Precision Rotation: Geared low-backlash stepper motor
- Field De-Rotation: Compatible with Alt-Az mounts
- USB-C Connectivity: One cable for power + control
- Wi-Fi Control: Hotspot + 2.4 GHz client mode
- ASCOM Alpaca: Modern, platform-independent
- Firmware Upgradable: Future-proof architecture

Precise, Repeatable Rotation
A powerful geared stepper motor with very low backlash ensures the Falcon Rotator v2 can be positioned to any angle with exceptional precision. Micro-stepping control makes it ideal for automation, mosaics, and repeatable framing across long imaging sessions.
Single-Cable USB-C Operation
The rotator operates using a single USB-C cable for both power and data — reducing cable clutter dramatically. Built-in Wi-Fi allows wireless control from your phone, tablet, or PC, perfect for remote backyard setups or observatories.
High Load Capacity & Mechanical Stability
Internal bearings and a robust housing allow the rotator to carry imaging payloads up to 6 kg (13 lbs). Flexure is kept extremely low, preserving alignment and framing accuracy throughout the night.
Large Aperture in a Slim Body
With only 15.2 mm of optical thickness and M68 threads on both sides, the Falcon Rotator v2 offers a generous clear aperture while maintaining a compact profile. The motor is offset from the optical axis to avoid interference with accessories.
Field De-Rotation for Alt-Az Mounts
The Unity Platform calculates the correct Rate of Rotation (RoR) based on your latitude and target coordinates. With fine micro-stepping, the Falcon Rotator v2 can deliver de-rotation accuracy down to 5 arcseconds.
Star & Solar Tracker Mode
With firmware v1.3+, the Falcon Rotator v2 can function as a compact star or solar tracker. When aligned to the NCP/SCP and mounted on a tripod, it can drive sidereal or solar tracking with just the rotator — no equatorial mount required.
