Compatible Telescope Sizes
The SV229 features an inside diameter of 140 mm and is designed to fit optical tubes with an outer diameter between 118 mm and 159 mm.

Solar Observation Applications
Solar Eclipses

Sunspots

General Solar Observation
This solar filter provides crisp views of sunspots, solar granulation, and eclipses while rejecting harmful ultraviolet and infrared radiation. The Sun appears in a natural orange colour for comfortable visual observing and imaging.

Compatibility
Compatible with the SVBONY SV550-122 mm telescope and other telescopes within the supported outer diameter range. Recommended for solar observation and sunspot viewing below 100× magnification.

Safety & Usage
Always inspect the filter before use. Do not use if the filter is damaged, punctured, torn, or separated from the frame in any way.

Certification
SVBONY solar filters are listed by the American Astronomical Society (AAS) as safe for solar viewing when used correctly.
