SVBONY SV260 2″ Multi-Bandpass Broadband Filter

The SVBONY SV260 is a 2″ multi-bandpass broadband light pollution filter designed for deep-sky astrophotography. Using a five-bandpass transmission design, it helps suppress common sources of artificial light pollution while maintaining strong signal throughput for galaxies, reflection nebulae, and wide starfield imaging.

Five-Bandpass Broadband Design

The SV260 employs a five-bandpass broadband transmission profile, allowing multiple astrophotographic wavelengths to pass while selectively reducing the impact of common light pollution sources. This makes it suitable for broadband targets where colour balance and starfield integrity are important.

High Transmission & OD4 Cut-Off

With peak transmission exceeding 90% and an OD4 cut-off depth, the filter is designed to block unwanted wavelengths efficiently while preserving image brightness. This combination supports improved contrast without excessive signal loss.

Wide Wavelength Coverage

Operating across an approximate wavelength range of 300–1000 nm, the SV260 provides broad spectral coverage suitable for DSLR, mirrorless, and dedicated astronomy cameras. This wide range allows flexibility when imaging diverse deep-sky targets.

Multi-broadband pass filter wavelength transmission graph

Designed for Light-Polluted Skies

The SV260 is intended for use in moderate to heavy light pollution environments, including urban and suburban locations. It is particularly effective for wide-field starfield imaging and broadband deep-sky photography under artificial sky glow.
